In Illinois former Light Heavyweight title challenger Rico Hoye (23-3, 15) returns to the ring for the first time in over 4 years as he takes on Dante Craig (20-15-1, 15). It's fair to say that although Hoya was a former title contender it's impossible to be excited about this bout with him now being 38.
On the same card as Hoye's comeback bout Johnnie White (22-4, 18) looks to end a 3-fight losing streak as he takes on Carl Davis (16-6, 12). Oddly it's only this bout and the Hoye/Craig bout that appear to be scheduled for 8 rounds in the Heavyweight division.
In Minneapolis, Minnesota the hard hitting Joey Abbell (28-6, 27) will take on Maurenzo Smith (11-6-2, 8). This bout appears to be unlikely to go the 6 round distance.
The Abbell/Smith bout is one of two contests scheduled for 6 rounds with Kimdo Bethel Boykin (6-1, 5) taking on the tricky Joey Dawejko (7-2-2, 3). Although Boykin will be the favourite we wouldn't be shocked with Dawejko scoring the upset.
In California we will also have 3 Heavyweight contests. They will include novices LeRon Mitchell (1-0, 1) and Justin Goslee (1-0, 1) who are both looking for their second victories. Mitchell will be facing Larry Ward (2-4, 1) whilst Goslee will face Kosetatino Sinoti (0-2).
The other Heavyweight bout on the California card features Razvan Cojanu (6-1, 3) though his opponent is yet to be named.
On a different card in California there will also be a bout for Javier Torres (5-0-1, 3) though lik with Cojanu, his opponent is yet to be named.
